Cparts | Digital passports for spare parts
CChainREAL PARTS. DIGITAL HISTORY.
A working notebook ↘02 CPARTS / PRODUCT PASSPORT

The spare part is the starting point.
Sources tell the story.
A readable record linking product information, evidence, and lifecycle notes, always showing provenance.
Inside a product passport
Product identity
- Product
- Car headlight
- Purpose of the record
- Illustrative passport structure
- Unit identifier
- Not provided in this example
- Condition
- Not assessed
The illustrated headlight demonstrates the interface. It is not an inspected item or a sales listing.
Every piece of data has a source.
-
Photographic evidence
Original photographs, author, and capture date when available.
-
Technical documentation
Identified manufacturer documentation or inspection report. Catalog data is listed separately.
-
Blockchain reference
References to network, contract, token, and transaction that can be independently verified.
-
Commercial data
The original product page and current terms. A price is not an appraisal.
A history with dates and context.
-
Create the record
Identify the source and record the first documented version.
-
Add evidence
Keep the author, date, and scope of every new note.
-
Record a lifecycle event
Document an inspection, change of ownership, or delivery when verified.
-
Check the current condition
A historical record does not guarantee the current condition.
This is the proposed workflow, not an active service. Documents and personal data remain outside the public registry.

NFT ≠ A SECOND PHYSICAL ITEM
One unit. One right to delivery.
-
1
Identify and reserve
Document a real unit and its assignment.
-
2
Read the offer
The terms state what the NFT purchase includes.
-
3
Request delivery
A verified sale can trigger a single right to physical delivery.
-
4
Preserve the history
Subsequent NFT transfers do not generate another delivery.
A token or QR code alone cannot authenticate a physical spare part. Unit identification, inventory control, and verifiable evidence are still required.
WHAT CAN CHANGE?
The registry and the document
are distinct layers.
Confirmed blockchain transactions form a history. An NFT’s image or metadata may still change if the contract and permissions allow it.
The proposed CChain registry distinguishes initial commitments from subsequent lifecycle notes. Every correction should be attributable.
